Don't miss baptism this Sunday night
[Written by Bryan Nelson]

One of the greatest times in the life of our church is hearing the stories of how God has worked in the lives of people to draw them to Himself. Come out to the Cazier's lake this Sunday at 6:00pm for the baptism service. Stay for the food. Come early for the hymn sing at 5:00pm.

A Note to the Tech Arts Crew
[Written by Kaleb Wilcox]

I just want to take a minute and thank all those who volunteer as part of our Technical Arts team. You all facilitate so much that goes on behind the scenes at TBC. Those in the audience often don't realize the amount of work and time that goes into producing weekly services like ours and offering the other media ministries that we do. People often ask me what I do and then, after I tell them, they say something like, "So you're a DJ?" What we do is totally behind the scenes and that's how it should be. When people don't even recognize we're there, that's when we are doing excellent work. So, again, thanks for all you do and for continually striving for excellence. Keep it up.

Franz Family on Sept 5
[Written by Bryan Nelson]

TBC rarely invites outside groups (read about why we say yes and no to different groups). However, September 5, will be a Sunday morning you won't want to miss. Mark Congdon (Xenos worship leader) has worked it out to bring The Franz Family to lead worship at TBC again. Mark the date. Read more about The Franz Family. If you heard them last time, you already know the professionalism and unique new-grass style of this group. It would be a perfect weekend to invite a friend to church.

My prayer frequency was terrible, until...
[Written by Bryan Nelson]

When I first arrived at Topeka Bible Church 3 years ago, I asked the worship arts family how I could pray for them — individually using 3x5 cards. Since then, I still have those 3x5 cards. But I want to share a new way that has changed how I pray. The change is in how frequently I pray. Frankly, my prayer life stunk (yes, even as a pastor). But a member of our stage crew (thanks TJ) recommended a website I now use called echoprayer.com. You can read more about it here.
