Discovery Day is happening this Sunday, August 29th — and we'd love to have a smiling face to be at the worship ministry table. It would be between services from 9:10am-9:35am, 10:40am-11:05am, and 12:10pm-12:30pm. It would be great to find one volunteer to cover all times — but if you are willing to take one slot...that's cool. Email Bryan.

IMPORTANT MEETING for ALL techs, vocalists, and instrumentalists

If you are in the worship arts family (tech, instrumentalist, vocalist, etc.) — we are holding a very important ministry-wide meeting on Thursday, September 16 from 6:00pm to 6:45pm. This meeting will COINCIDE with our regularly scheduled rehearsal that evening. The purpose of this meeting will be to outline some significant changes and vision casting for the future of the worship arts family. We will be sending out invitations to this meeting through Planning Center Online this week because we'd like everyone to be there. Don't worry — we don't have any scary announcement to make, just some exciting stuff we'd like to share face to face.

TBC rarely invites outside groups (read about why we say yes and no to different groups). However, September 5, will be a Sunday morning you won't want to miss. Mark Congdon (Xenos worship leader) has worked it out to bring The Franz Family to lead worship at TBC again. Mark the date. Read more about The Franz Family. If you heard them last time, you already know the professionalism and unique new-grass style of this group. It would be a perfect weekend to invite a friend to church.

AWANA music used to help with scripture memory

Many of you are involved in the AWANA kids program that will begin in several weeks on Wednesday nights. I've been spending some time working on music to help the Cubbies (2-4 year olds) learn the scripture verses. Check out what some of the music will be like. And if you are looking to get more involved at TBC beyond the worship arts family, AWANA is a great way to connect with others and make a huge difference in the lives of children.
