Meet Patty

Full Name: Patty Bollinger Diliberto

Where born? Cape Girardeau, Mo. but grew up in Arvada, Co.

How did you end up in Topeka?

How long have you attended TBC? 30 years

Family: Four grown, married children, & 4 grandchildren with more on the way!

How do you occupy your day? Director of Women's Ministry and offer Pastoral care to the women of TBC.

What book have you reread the most? The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer

Sports team you cheer for: I love the noise of football in the fall

What shakes you up? Closed in spaces

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be? Lucy or Susan in Narnia

Favorite candy: Big Hunk

 

Meet Jill B

Full Name: Jill Barker

Where were you born? Indianapolis, Indiana

How did you end up in Topeka? I ended up in Topeka after meeting my husband, Matt in Colorado.  We moved following our wedding after he took a job here!

How long have you attended TBC? Attended TBC for 8 years

Family: Matt - husband and 3 girls - Allyson, Molly and Claire

How do you occupy your day? Stay at home mom to 3 of the biggest blessings EVER from the Lord!

Favorite Meal: Salmon and veggies on the grill, fresh fruit and a big piece of chocolate cake!

Sports team you cheer for: Goooooo COLTS!  I also LOVE the Chicago Cubs.

What's one thing you've done that might surprise people?Studied abroad in London for a semester in college.  I lived in London
and traveled all over Western Europe

What shakes you up? Driving on icy roads.  Just thinking about it makes my stomach knot!

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be? Can I make up a fictional character?  Maybe Mary Poppins?  Someone who can clean and have everything organized by the snap of my finger.

 

Meet Rachel

Full Name: Rachel Elizabeth Duncan     

Where were you born? Emporia, KS

How did you end up in Topeka? Got married in college and then moved where my husband got a job!

How long have you attended TBC? 12 years

Family: Husband Jason and two kids: Landon (2007) and Abby (2009).

How do you occupy your day? Mother that stays at home; Wedding Liaison for TBC

What book have you reread the most? Babywise and children’s picture books!

Favorite meal: Snow Crab, steamed veggies, new potatoes, cheese tortellini… Squirt to drink!

What's one thing you've done that might surprise people? Spit off the Eiffel Tower during a European tour

What shakes you up?  When family is traveling…I’d rather be with them if something happens…feel better when they get home!

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be? Any one that flies…I’d love to fly!

Full Name: Deborah Lee Bastien Parker

Where were you born? Peoria, IL

How did you end up in Topeka? Husband accepted into Washburn Law School

How long have you attended TBC? Since 1998

Family: Husband, Stan, attorney, high school sweetheart, married 36 yrs. 2 Children: Jena (1985) KSU graduate; Works at KSU in student ministry. Hobie (1989) KSU senior; Majoring in physical therapy.

How do you occupy your day? Home responsibilities, Bible Studies, Women's Ministry, and reading.   Also love going to or watching  movies, day or night. Closet "Words with Friend" lover.

How would you spend a free Saturday? Playing/ shopping/ Farmer's Market in the season

What book have you reread the most? Pride and Prejudice & My Utmost for His Highest

What's one thing you've done that might surprise people? In the 70' s....I worked at a dude ranch resort in Colorado Springs and was a folk singer at a coffee house.

What shakes you up? People hurting people
