The goals of Chore Corps are easily identified in the call to care for widows, single parents and those in distress. Chore Corps demonstrates the love of Christ and our obedience to His Word.
Using a team approach, Chore Corps goes beyond doing isolated "good deeds" to building caring relationships. This team approach avoids burnout of a single individual while generating and sustaining energy among the members.
As a Chore Corps team member, you'll donate three hours on the fourth Saturday of each month. You'll be part of a team that is assigned to a widow, widower, single parent of other individual with long-term needs. From 7-8 a.m. that day, the entire corps will meet for prayer, Bible study and planning. You'll head out at 8 a.m. to work at your adoptee's home until 10, when you'll break for prayer and reading scripture with the individual whom you're serving. You'll return to the same care receiver each month to help build a relationship and better assess future needs.
No skills required. We just need your willingness to work alongside other men with hearts for service!
